Davit Davtyan is working in the tradition of classical realism, known for his still lifes and contemplative narrative compositions. Through careful observation and refined technique, he seeks to reveal the quiet beauty and poetic meaning found in ordinary subjects. His work has received international recognition, including First Place from the Art Renewal Center (in the still life category). Davit also received second place in the Almenara Art Prize, and was selected for the Figurativas 2025 exhibition at the European Museum of Modern Art (MEAM) in Barcelona. His paintings have been exhibited internationally in Moscow and a solo exhibition at the Congreso de la Nación in Buenos Aires, Argentina in 2025. Davit currently resides in Buenos Aires with his wife and two sons.
After Hunting is part of a larger series devoted to the theme of hunting. For centuries, hunting was an ordinary and essential part of daily life and survival. By depicting these quiet moments, the artist reveals the beauty and deep contemplation that can be found in simple, traditional subjects.
In this work, stillness replaces action, inviting the viewer to reflect on nature, life, death, and the passage of time.
