Kevin Müller Cisneros emigrated with his parents and sister to the United States in 2003. He currently lives in Brooklyn, New York, and places an intimate appreciation of nature at the forefront of his aesthetic principles.
Self Portrait in the Studio is an effort to portray himself in his space of work. The painting depicts a strong reflection from the skylight over an empty chair where a model would sit if he was working with another subject, a real human skeleton that could recall the old Latin phrase ‘memento mori’, and in the center, the painter trying to hold still, looking at himself and the world around him.
As a long-time instructor at the Grand Central Atelier (GCA) in New York, he is committed to sharing his passion for excellence and meditation through art.
